The 2026 program provides a total of $5 million in funding for physical security upgrades at Connecticut nonprofit organizations.

Up to $50,000 Per Facility

Eligible organizations can receive grants of up to $50,000 for each individual site they own and operate.

Multiple Owned Facilities

There is no stated application limit on the number of facilities, but each facility must be owned by the applicant.

State-Funded Competitive Program

This is a competitive state-funded program designed to enhance the hard physical security of Connecticut nonprofits.

The state program may provide up to 50% of an award as a cash advance, capped at $25,000, with the remaining funds handled under program payment requirements.

Who May Qualify

501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status

Heightened risk of terrorist attack, hate crime, or violent act

Must own the building at application and throughout the project

Public schools are not eligible for this program
